You can experience an unforgettable holiday among forests, snow-capped peaks and vast panoramas in Livigno: all you need are a pair of boots and a backpack. The rest is here, in Livigno, where the Alpine Guides propose you many interesting excursions:  from one day trips to long tours with the chance to sleep in shelters, from picnics to observe the flora and fauna to explorations of highest peaks. And wherever you are, you can go down and return to the country immediately by public transport free.

The hiking network has historical origins linked to the need to take the mountain to carry out agricultural, pastoral and cultivation of the forest. The routes, which over time have lost their original meaning, now are increasingly popular with hikers, climbers and practitioners of mountain biking.

The Mountain Community of Alta Valtellina today offers tourists a variety of tools to make the best of these routes. Two guides have been realized and they tell a selection of 150 trails spread across the territory of the six municipalities of the Alta Valtellina. In the pages you find all the insights of the project (guides, maps, message boards, signs, websites and GPS tracks) and specifications for each program are proposed.
